PACE OF PLAY RULES

What is Pace of Play?
Pace of play means keeping time and speed so you are respectful of other golfers.
You are allowed 40 seconds per shot and should complete 9-holes in 2 hrs & 15 mins.

Play "Ready Golf"
  • This means being prepared to hit your shot when it's safe to do so, rather than strictly adhering to the "farthest from the hole plays first" rule.

Plan Your Shot While Others Are Playing:
  • Use the time when others are hitting to assess your lie, select your club, and plan your shot strategy.

Limit Practice Swings:
  • Take no more than one practice swing before hitting your shot.

Keep Pace with the Group Ahead:
  • Your group should keep up with the group in front of you, if you can’t see the group in front of you, please pay attention to pace of play.

Minimize Time Spent on the Green:
  • Line up your putt while others are putting, and be ready to putt when it's your turn. After putting out, immediately move to the next tee box.

Park Carts Strategically:
  • Park your golf cart or place your bag on the side of the green closest to the next tee box to minimize travel time. You shouldn’t walk backwards on the course to your cart or bag.

Limit Ball Searches:
  • Spend no more than 1 minutes searching for a lost ball. If not found within that time, take a penalty stroke and drop a new ball.

Play a Provisional Ball:
  • If you believe your ball may be lost or out of bounds, play a provisional ball to save time.

Minimize Socializing During Play:
  • Save extended conversations for after the round to maintain a good pace. Conversation is had when walking to the next shot.

Be Efficient on the Tee Box:
  • Tee off as soon as the group ahead is clear and limit your time on the tee box.

GOLF ETIQUETTE

Be Punctual:
  • Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your tee time. This allows us to greet one another and be prepared to tee off.

Be Courteous:
  • Be respectful to your fellow players & golf staff. Celebrate good shots and remain positive during challenging moments. Wait your turn to hit and avoid distracting other players.

Respect the Course:
  • Repair divots, rake bunkers, and do not bring your cart on the greens. Drive golf carts only on designated areas.

Dress Appropriately:
Wear proper golf attire, such as a collared shirt, golf skirt or shorts, and golf shoes. Avoid wearing denim, t-shirts, or athletic shorts.

Scoring:
We do not require teams to keep score. You are welcome to track your own individual score.

Safety:
Be aware of your surroundings and ensure that no one is in range before taking your shot. Shout "fore!" if your ball is heading towards other players.
